HIGH SCHOOL FINE ARTS

MUSIC

The High School Choir and DC Singers are a part of fine arts at Denver Christian High SchoolThe high school DC Singers share Singing Valentines to teachers and students on Valentine's DayHigh school students are given the option to choose to develop fine arts skills in the area of music.  A concert choir program is offered to all high school students and an auditioned choir, DC Singers, is available to students who want a more advanced study with more performances and more complex music.  High school choir students perform in regular community performances and are invited to perform for other school activities throughout the year.  DC Singers also are invited to join the band program for a performance-oriented trip every other year and are encouraged to try out for All State Choir.

BAND 

HS Fine Arts at Denver Christian includes band as part of the daily curriculum. High school has orchestra and jazz band in Fine ArtsHS Fine Arts includes jazz band that plays concerts at the Lakewood, CO campusAt the high school level, students in the band program start with Symphonic Band, which not only performs extensive musical pieces, but also explores musical composition. Symphonic band students also have the opportunity to engage at a deeper level with a smaller, more select Jazz Band. This smaller ensemble performs regularly throughout the year in community band concerts as well as for other church and community venues.

All symphonic band students have the option to participate in a performance-oriented trip every other year and are also encouraged to try out for All State Band, All State Orchestra, All State Jazz Band, and other college honor bands.

High School Band and Choir students travel to Disney World or Disney Land every other year to learn through workshops and perform in the park.

HS ART SHOWS

Each year, the HS puts their best work on display. The exhibition is available in the school for viewing the weeks ahead of graduation. Awards are given for various classifications of artwork.

High School studio art students place their artwork in the Art Show in the spring High School art show drawings in mixed media are a part of the Fine Arts experience at Denver Christian School a variety of fine arts course work and activities are available at Denver Christian School

DRAMA  

Twice each school year, our high school students put on full scale theatre productions. Auditions are held and practices are before and after school.

Full Day PreK runs from 8:20 AM to 3:15 PM.
